I cannot help but proclaim it
Wow! School has been psycho lately! I've been so busy as the year draws nearer to the end. There is so much I want to talk about because there has been a lot going on in my life, good times and hard times. This week is going to be huge for me because I find out for sure whether or not I'm going to Sierra Leone for next semester. I'm so excited! God has been so good to me and I cannot help but be thankful. I know God is calling me to go to SL and yet I am nervous. I know it is going to be hard to be gone so long from the people I love. Yet, at the same time, I look forward in anticipation of the hard times because it will allow me to further let go of this world and take a stronger hold on to my Father.
I'm not the only one who has been busy though. Satan has been quite busy lately as well. He has been throwing things at me that I have never struggled with. It has been hard to know how to deal with this but God is faithful. Every time I have begun to believe in what Satan is telling me, God has showed me His unfailing love and grace in a new light and I am able to see the truth and not take hold of the lies Satan is feeding me. Praise God for that!
I feel my meager attempt to express the glory of God I have been experiencing is far too inadequate but I must try to put it to words because I cannot help but proclaim it. I finally know what it was that John and Paul were saying when they confessed to the Sanhedrin that "we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard" (Acts 4:20). The power of Christ in us compells us to do beautiful things and as I continue to see that in those around me and how He is beautifully shaping me, I cannot help but worship Him.
Well, I'm going to go enjoy this beautiful day. God bless!
